Yancie Jackson AKA Mone Yukka was born and raised in Far Rockaway, Queens in a single-parent home as the oldest of three. Moving from place to place, life was very unstable for him as a child without a father figure in his life & a 17 year old mother working two jobs. Growing up in the streets of the grimy inner city, Yukka’s fate was turning for the worst as he began to engage in activities that could land him a life sentence.
Rapping was always a dream that seemed unattainable from his walk of life, but always gave him a voice to release his thoughts & get away from the problematic life he was living. Music did not pay the bills nor take care of his family which led him to continue down the path of the average male African American living in the hood with no resources.
After being arrested and beating a case for drugs, Yuk decided take music seriously and began to live in the studio. In 2012, his heart began to live outside of his chest with the arrival of his new baby girl Grey Jackson. Life would no longer be a grey cloud of inconsistency and struggle and he would make sure of that for his daughter. From then on, there was no turning back and no such thing as giving up.
After several freestyles and YouTube videos released on the internet, Yuk finally released his mixtape Public Enemy which grabbed the attention of many and had the streets buzzing and yearning for more. He is now working on visuals for Public Enemy followed by the release of his second mixtape. With influences such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Stack Bundles, Biggie and Puff, he is destined to follow in their footsteps and intends to impact the music industry like no other as a business mogul and lyrical genius.
