The Miracles (also known as Smokey Robinson and the Miracles from 1965 to 1972) were an American rhythm and blues vocal group that was the first successful recording act for Berry Gordy 's Motown Records , and one of the most important and influential groups in pop, rock and roll , and R&B music history. [1] [2] [3] Formed in 1955 by Smokey Robinson , Warren "Pete" Moore , and Ronnie White , the group started off as the Five Chimes, changing their name to the Matadors two years later. The group then settled on the Miracles after the inclusion of Claudette Robinson in 1958. The most notable Miracles line-up included the Robinsons, Moore, White, Bobby Rogers and Marv Tarplin . After a failed audition with Brunswick Records , the group began working with songwriter Berry Gordy , who helped to produce their first records for the End and Chess labels before establishing Tamla Records in 1959 and signing the Miracles as its first act. The group eventually scored the label's first million-selling hit record with the 1960 Grammy Hall of Fame smash, " Shop Around ", and further established themselves as one of Motown's top acts with the hit singles " You've Really Got a Hold on Me ", " What's So Good About Goodbye ", " Way Over There ", " I'll Try Something New ", " Mickey's Monkey ", " Going to a Go-Go ", " (Come 'Round Here) I'm the One You Need ", " Just A Mirage ", " If You Can Want ", " More Love ", " I Don't Blame You at All ", " Ooo Baby Baby ", The multi-award-winning " The Tracks of My Tears "," My Girl Has Gone ' " Special Occasion ", " I Second That Emotion ", " Baby Baby Don't Cry ", the number-one Pop smashes " The Tears of a Clown " and " Love Machine ", " Do It Baby ", and " That's What Love Is Made Of ", among numerous other hits.

Elexis Ansley's 'One Life' Debuts at No. 46 on Billboard Dance Club Charts Singer-songwriter Elexis Ansley has begun her inaugural Billboard residency with EDM club banger "One Life" debuting at No. 46 with a bullet on the Dance Club Charts. She's since jumped 18 slots, securing No. 28 in week 4. MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Jan. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Singer-songwriter Elexis Ansley has begun her inaugural Billboard residency with EDM club banger "One Life" debuting at No. 46 on the Dance Club Charts . She's since jumped 18 slots, securing No. 28 in week 4. Her chart ascension and the coveted "bullet" sign next to her name aren't the only indicators of her skyrocketing success; the official "One Life" single boasts plays in the 10s of thousands on Spotify and features over half dozen remixes since its release. The accompanying music video , a controversial and cinematically enticing production, has hundreds of thousands of hits. The video attacks visceral topics like addiction, abuse, and hate, urging the audience to, instead, choose love and positivity. While "One Life" features Elexis and cast living it up on a yacht in Miami Beach, she loves to immerse herself in other cultures. On her recent shoot for her single " Way Up ", Elexis and her team traveled to Ecuador, a location the artist chose for it's regal mountains and gorgeous flora which she talks about in her national interview on the show "En Corto". Despite battling altitude sickness, oxygen deficiency, inclement weather, and site surprises, Elexis was overwhelmed by the warmth and graciousness of the Ecuadorian people and felt immersed in nature as she cascaded the hillsides for the production. You can find photos of Elexis Ansley's trip on her Instagram , a platform she uses to promote harmony, altruism, and self-care. She encourages her almost 100k followers to love themselves, no matter their age, race, shape, or size. Body image is something Elexis is especially passionate about having lost over 100 pounds herself, a journey she chronicles in her documentary Losing Weight, Gaining Awareness . One of the many reasons people are drawn to Elexis Ansley is her standard of excellence, which extends to her team. Elexis and "One Life" producer Eha Rouge joined forces with Klubjumpers' trio Sam Michaels, Dan Mathews, and George Eyes, who combined have over 80 Billboard-charting records! Add in collaborators associated with the late, great Michael Jackson and Jennifer Lopez, and it's no wonder "One Life" is turning up so much heat. Elexis invites listeners to "forget and forgive" as they lose themselves in the rhythm of this liberating, irresistibly danceable house record.

Born and raised in Chicago, Jason Ivy is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, with a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and Linguistics. As a multitalented musician and recording artist, Jason combines his formal training with veteran vocal coach Dr. Lena McLin and his time in the Soul Children of Chicago (among other groups), with his love of music and its ability to tell a story, send a message, express feeling, and unite myriad people all at once. Mr. Ivy takes influence from the Hip Hop, Neo-Soul, Alt Rock, and “Lo-fi” music genres, to bring us a fresh perspective on music. About the EP and Cover Art: CØMPLIMENTS is the first EP project from new Neo Soul / R&B artist Jason Ivy. Each icon represents one of the six songs from the project. In order, they are: Hate (the spiteful message and angered posture of the astronaut), Foreign (the astronaut itself), Higher (the rocket), Chlorophyll (the sunflowers), Ivy (the ivy leaves), and Pyre (the woman with the burning heart). The concept behind both the EP and the cover art is that these are all separate concepts that function as a whole, all mostly contained within this jar. Each of the songs addresses the state of the jar — being emotionally empty or filled — which doubles as a graphic metaphor for the state of the narrator’s own emotions. The narrator is visibly angry as they take on a role outside of all of these events — a foreigner to their own emotions, and to a space where they should belong. A second catalyst for the narrator’s anger is that all of these songs have come to life and are escaping in a larger than life format, over which they have no control. In the end, it seems the narrator is along for the ride just as much as the audience is. Featured Single The single “Higher” was inspired by a late summer hangout with Jason Ivy and friends. It was the first time that all of them had gotten together, but it was so late in the season that it would likely also be the last time. Of course, among his friends happened to be a girl that he liked at the time, so Jason ran with the idea of unrealized love interests and coupled it with cool summer vibes. Those themes were transformed into a unique love song that examines the feelings of a confident young man at the start of a blossoming relationship.“Higher” features thoughtful, brooding lyrics with lines that cascade effortlessly from one to the next, and silky smooth vocals crooned over old school cool 80’s production. CØMPLIMENTS (read: Empty Compliments) Artist: Jason Ivy Release Date: 2.09.19 | Pre-order Date: 2.01.19

CuttBoy G-Dinero grew up in the projects of New Orleans and at the young age of 4 he taught himself how to play a five piece drum set. Not too many young children find their direction that early in life. In the long run this talent would provide him with lucrative endeavors, while becoming established and defined as an accomplished and consummate track producer / musician. As his maturation grew and the years passed, he released his first album in 2009 that shook the streets of New Orleans. G-Dinero released another album that same year and formed his own production company. This power move secured instant radio rotation as a springboard for shows promoting nationally recognized artists in New Orleans. Every one in life is bound to take that detour off the original path in order to encounter the light amidst all the darkness. G’s realistic dream for stardom was interrupted. He was sentenced to prison and while serving his time he focused on perfecting his writing and the business side of the music industry. When the chips were down at the deepest depth, G-Dinero remained disciplined in his heart and love for his craft. Motivated, focused and resourceful fit his description to a T. In 2005, shortly after his release, G-Dinero relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. While in Atlanta, he immediately gained recognition on Atlanta’s top radio stations, V103 and Hot 107.9, with songs like “In My State” featuring DSGB. Another G-Dinero dirty south classic is “That’s Gangsta Dogg” featuring Bun B (UGK). Within that same year, life abruptly changed for G-Dinero. Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and members of his family perished, followed three months later by the death of his sister. Whoever said, “when it rains it pours” wasn’t joking. Engulfed in despair and difficult times after suffering such an insurmountable personal loss, G again rose up above the pain and tragedy to conquer the odds. In 2006, at The Urban Media Film Festival Video Awards, G-Dinero displayed a soldier’s heart as he graciously won Best Independent Video for “Waiting Fa Ma Season”, directed by Gabriel Hart.

Avatar Frost is redefining what it means to create genreless music. Hailing from Charlotte, NC, he labels Jay-Z, The Beatles, Lamb, & Makaveli as his first musical influences. The Avatar’s vastly eclectic taste & upbringing places him in a league of his own when it comes to creating, writing, & producing his own brand of genre-bending conscious hip-hop. “Lyrical assassin” is the affectionate term used most often to describe his prowess by casual listeners & zealous fans alike. 2019 is shaping up to be Avatar Frost’s breakthrough year. “Floyd,” an enthusiastic amalgamation of hip-hop & acoustic-pop and the first single off his upcoming debut EP “...there was a boy,” has garnered over 50,000 streams in 6 months with no signs of slowing down. It will also be featured on Amada Records’ UMG distributed “Hip Hop Cruises To Jamaica” album alongside artists such as Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Chris Brown, Quavo, & many more, premiering this year. Stay tuned for his upcoming 2019 release, “Mimosa,” as it is poised to ignite the next hip-hop revolution with its unapologetically cutthroat lyrics and sound waves from the future. “ Intro ,” the Avatar’s inaugural music video, takes the audience on an introspective trip through the human psyche with an electro-rock sampling of The xx. WASHINGTON, D.C. – When you hear Nanoon’s music, the first thing he wants you to realize is that he’s an artist … a chill, laid-back artist. Once you realize that, the rest of the journey will be easy listening, he said. The Washington, D.C.-based hip-hop artist has recently released a new EP called “Purple Octopuses,” and he’s currently in New York trying to expand his reach while sharing this new EP with the world. Like much of his music, this EP is one that he said will put a smile on peoples’ faces when they hear it. “I want people to be relaxed when they listen to my music,” Nanoon said. “I want them to feel like they can sit at the bar and listen to my music and zone our and calm down. Being a music listener, I know it’s about how you feel. I know that when you turn on a song you want it to express how you feel. A lot of songs today don’t do that anymore. That’s why I want my music to put a smile on peoples’ faces and to make them feel like I’m going through some of the same things they’re going through, and take the game to a whole different level. I think music can be deep and influential like that. It can relate emotionally what you’re going through.” Nanoon said he takes a lot of his experiences and emotions and puts them into lyrics on his phone – using both audio notes and the notepad to perfect his flows and experiment with different thoughts and rhymes. The signature single off “Purple Octopuses” is a perfect example. Nanoon music considers to be a bit of a statement piece about his place in the world and the mark he wants to leave as a musician. “It’s a song that says I’m legit,” he said. “I’m young and I’m pushing all this paper. It has a catchy hook that people can connect to, and it’s upbeat. All my songs are upbeat and keep you going and keep your attention.” So far the single has garnered Nanoon some good reviews among DJs and radios stations along the East Coast. So much so that the second single off the EP, “If You Want It,” debuted well and has already received thousands of plays on his Soundcloud page and received some radio play. Nanoon said he tries to record a new song every two weeks, and hopes to continue to pump out singles for his fans as he works toward an album that he’ll release later this year. He currently has a library of about 15 songs on Soundcloud for people to check out at any time. Fans can follow Nanoon on Twitter @dukehov.

Inspiration, guidance, and direction is what we all need to survive in this cold world. Change is what we all pray for even though it seems like there is no hope. Music today is very destructive and degrading. There are no real leaders in the game today. Most people are for money and self. It’s sad to say, but there are a few people who would do anything just for a come up. Chantly is an hip hop artist who strives to be different. Standing up for something is more important to him than fitting in. His leadership, grind, talent, and drive got his name circulating throughout industry. He is a well respected artist in North Carolina because of his street smarts, wisdom, clever word play, powerful delivery, and business qualities. These characteristics landed him the opportunity to intern at a local radio station called WPEG-POWER 98, which helped him gain a network that could help him prosper. Recently Chantly released a brand new single called “I Grind”, where he speaks about working hard to rise above the struggle. Praying for better days is something he found himself doing on a regular. He barely had time to give any energy to any hater who didn’t see his vision. Staying down for this cause until his dreams come to fruition was always his motto. Educating his fans on how to maneuver do the bad days and still make a way, was his primary goal and intention on making his hit record. Chantly feels like we should never accept defeat. We were born to be warriors and with a positive mind, plan and ambition. There is no way we can’t win. If you’re not living to make change, then you’re existing in vain. Wake up and be great everyday. The power is in your hands. I highly recommend you all support Chantly’s movement. He is a rising star out here trying to make a difference. We need more artist, leaders, and entrepreneurs like him. Social Media: TW: @chantlyjones | FB: Chantly Jones | IG: @chantlyjones
